If a pitman arm and idler arm are broken on a truck, is it possible to drive?

I'm lookin to buy a Chevy that is in a city about 24 miles away from mine. Id like to know if it would be possible to drive the truck back home, and probably to a repair shop. The truck has three problems, the pitman arm, and idler arm is broken. Also,

If they are broke you can't steer... if they are bad you can move the vehicle
