I am wrapping my headers and am wondering if I can use header paint to seal the wrap instead of silicone Spay?

I found a video clip that recommended a silicone type header wrap spray to keep the wrap from becoming water logged and holding water directly on the header increasing chances of rusting when inclement weather hits or in case I go Mud Bogging in my truck.
Look it sounds to me your trying to prevent your header from rusting. That almost impossible. The best way to go is with ceramic coated or stainless steel . Even paint brake down over a period of time. As well silicone has its braking point to but you
