How do you know if your car thermostat is working?

How do you know when your thermostat is working? The temperature use to be in the middle of the hot and cold, and now its on the cold half of the thermostat. Is there any way I can check if it works i have a 94 accord.

lakewoodpainter Hi,

I have a Luxpro model PSP511Ca thermostat, and it seems to work different/not properly now...the thermostat is set to 62, and it used to be that when it said 61 "HEAT" would blink, and the radiators would crank out a lot of heat, and it would become 64 or 65.

Now the thermostat clicks, which it never used to do, and if it's 61 it will turn on for a minute or two then click off and say 62...problem is the radiators didn't even get warm to the touch. OR if it's 61 the heat doesn't kick on...
